Designation

Support / Concepts / Designation

The designation of a thot is a positional coordinate that the thot occupies and is determined using available context and a thot's thot identity.

Authoritative Designation

Where a thot has a  File, then the File in combination with the thot's thot identity is used to determine a thot's Authoritative Designation.

Contextual Designation

Where a thot has a parent thot, the thot's Contextual Designation is determined using its parent thot and thot identity.

No Designation

Where a thot has no parent thot, no  File, and is not the Supreme Thot, the thot has no designation.

Supreme Designation

Where a thot is the Supreme Thot, the thot has the Supreme Designation.

Hint

A nested header thot having a  File will have both an Authoriative Designation and a Contextual Designation.
